The Order of Saint Paul started in the time of the Crusades about the XI - XIII Centuries, the aim was to help the pilgrims and defend Holy Places. All this aroused the birth of the Monk-Knights
During the time of the Crusades there were many monk - knights of different orders, over the years many of these Orders have drifted away, and have gone into extinction but in todays world we still need people who will do the same sort of work that was carried out many years ago.
The Order Of Saint Paul is heavily involved with Christian work within third world countries. We pay the rent on buildings in Pakistan so that Christian Church Services can be carried out in a country were only 2% of the people are Christians.
In India we supply Christian Literature for the local people, sometimes in there own language, and in Africa we send Bibles to people who cannot obtain them due to lack of money or supply.
Over the years we have even put together a children's coloring book of the New Testament, so children can learn about the Bible from an early age this goes to many third world countries.
We have very strong links to the Greek Orthodox Church, and will always remain so, plus we have links with Christian Churches in England and the United States of America, that help us maintain our work.
Our Grand Priory is in Belgium and plans are underway to open other Priory's in Africa and other countries across Europe, Asia.and around the world within the next year.
Africa will be a place were a Grand Priory should be established within the year of 2005, to serve and work with the Knights of the African Continent.
