Applicants must be of good Christian background, active within the Church, and be willing to work for charity. They must be dedicated and always ready to help others in need, help the sick, and old and disabled. They must be willing to support the Order of Saint Paul in it's works for local charities to visit hospitals and homes for senior citzens, and always try to attend any function organised by the Order of the Priorries they are working within.
The minimun age of applicants for membership of the Order is 21 years of age, Younger applicants can apply as Squires from the age of 17 years and Sisters can apply from 16 years of age and will be accepted as Novices, and elevated to the higher rank when have proved themselves worthy of the rank of Knight or Dame, and become the right age.
Where proof of Nobility is present, the family history must be submitted at the time of application along with a copy of the family coat of arms. Claims connot be submitted at a later date. All documents required at the time of application must be sent to the main office under which the applicant has applied.
The sponsor is responsible to ensure that the applicant is aware of the background of the Order and it's activities, and to see that all documents of applicants are correct before submitting them.
All fees to the Order must be paid on application, this is to cover all international registeration and office fees as well as the annual oblation fee for the current year.
Members are requested to pay their yearly fees within 28 days of the date due, all cost are subject to change without notice, no receipt will be issued unless requested by the member at the time of payment.
Neck Decoration, Grand Collars, Medals and Mantles and Certificates if given, remain the property of the Order of Saint Paul at all times. they are issued to the Knights or Dames as a symbol of their service to the Order, but must be returnd when a Knight or Dame is no longer in service of the Order.
Please before submitting your application, ensure that you believe that you are the right person to become a member of the Order of Saint Paul. Please write a letter stating why you believe you should be considered for membership. The letter should state your personial commitment and the contribution you wish to make to the Order. The letter must also state your religion and denomination, to save time at a later date.
